Many newspapers, including the well-known Huffington Post, have repeatedly ranked lake Como as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. The beauty of the landscape is breathtaking and the services offered are varied. Lake Como has always been a destination and muse of important artists, heads of state, directors, actors and writers.

Here are our top three recommendations when staying at our resort and visiting the beautiful Lake Como

1.     Visit Menaggio

The Parco San Marco resort is so close to Menaggio that it's really a shame not to visit this wonderful hamlet. You are in one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world, in a pretty headland right in front of the well-known villages of Bellagio and Varenna. Take a walk on the lakefront of Menaggio and arrive at the square which is the ancient origin of the village and provides visitors with many artistic and historical memories.

2.     The Brunate funicular railway

Visit Como city and greet it from above, an experience not to be missed. We continue the ranking of the three things to do on Lake Como by talking about the wonderful funicular railway. You can pick it up from the lakefront in the old town of Como. From here the funicular (built in 1978) climbs up to Brunate and provides a truly unforgettable 10-minute trip for both adults and kids. Once at the top, you will have the most stunning panoramic views of the city of Como and its lake from above. For those sporty visitors, Brunate offers several walks with breathtaking views.

3.     Discover Bellagio, the pearl of Lake Como

This jewel of Lake Como, actually named the "pearl of Lake Como", certainly deserves all your attention. Bellagio boasts an extraordinary location: from the charming village you can see the branch of Como and Lecco. Unique and truly amazing, Bellagio is a village of great inspiration and background of wonderful walks. The story of Bellagio has been witness to real escapes of love like that between the musician Franz Liszt and the Countess of Agoult, Marie Catherine de Flavigny. Our reception is happy to give you any further information to make this dream trip a reality. Contact us, we're waiting for you.

Have a good trip!
