Umbrella Papyrus

The false papyrus (Cyperus alternifolius L.) is a marsh plant, perennial, belonging to the family Cyperaceae, widely found in the wetlands of sub-Saharan Africa. It has tall, slender stems that bear fan-like leaves resembling the ribs of an open umbrella.
