Lago di Como

Lago di Como is the third largest lake in Italy and one of the most beautiful and well-known.
In fact, aristocrats of ancient Rome already built their holiday villas at the lake's shores, fascinated by the combination of high mountains and Mediterranean climate. Today, along the 170 km shore, there are high-quality hotels, luxurious holiday villas, and villages in which time seems to have stopped.
Lago di Como is also rich in contrasts. Get to know the unknown areas, for example the village Plesio or the surrounding, nearly deserted farms. You can also go and visit the old harbours in Varenna, Menaggio, and Bellagio by boat.
